Great Job

Good lay out. This app does a perfect job presenting the Declaration in a simple but elagent way.

Im as patriotic as the next guy, and I love the Constitution. The shortcoming of this app is that there is no way to change fonts or increase font size. The default font (Helvetica 12) is not pleasing to my eye, and Id like the ability to increase the font size.

Ugh

Text windows text cant change font or size. Parchment window is illegible, even with extreme zoom.

what a neat little app!

nice idea, too!

Nicely done. I like the inclusion of the Parchment and the Engraving images. The zoom feature is cool with the Engraving because you can zoom to where the documents original writing is very readable -- nice!

Very cool!

The only thing that keeps this from getting a fifth star is that you cant flip it over to inspect the back for an invisible treasure map...

Great images. Great AI. Really helpful resource.

If you go see the original Declaration of Independence, youll notice that its fading. Making the words hard to read. They probably got the images for this from the document as it looks now.

Yes, it could use something to change the font size with - but dont forget that the mac can zoom in with the CONTROL key + 2 fingers up or down on the track pad. Also, the oringinal document is very hard to read, its fading away.

I am thankful that somehting like this can be made free to us. I have found one small historical error. John Hancock was born in Braintree, MA. the city of Quincy was not incorporated until 1792.

What a neat idea.

This is such a cool idea for all the history fans out there. Again, really really neat.

This offers a handful of font choices, but only appears at all if helvetica is chosen. Offers Times, Times Bold, Futura, Cochin and Zapfino, but those dont work if the fonts arent installed in the system. They dont seem to be embedded within the app itself. Fonts that are installed in the system dont even show up as options, just those 6, whether installed or not. Their Constitution for Mac v1.0.2 suffers from the same problem. Nice idea. Handy to have, but poor font implementation.

I downloaded this app when the app store first launched, I thought this was a pretty good app with lots of information about the Declaration. And to the Idiot who said the parchment window is illegible is because thats what it looks like now deal with it.

Fails to open on my Mac, as does this developers other App, the Constitution. No help from developer after repeat emails. A waste of time. No idea how other reviewers managed to get this to work. Needs debugging. Am running 10.6.7 on an Intel Macbook Pro.
